A true Southend United legend, Kevin has served the Shrimpers as a player, under 23 coach and head coach – spanning 17 years in total.
Kevin made 454 appearances as player and skippered the club during one of the most successful and memorable periods.
As head coach, he helped to steer the Shrimpers through the toughest of times and was rewarded by being granted the freedom of the city.
By the end of the season, Kevin will have been involved in more Southend matches than anyone else in the club’s 119 year history.
Kev skippered Southend United to back to back promotions, helping the Shrimpers to reach the Championship. He also captained the side to a memorable League Cup win against Manchester United back in 2006.
Kev is now seeking success as head coach of the club, having been appointed in October 2021. He is also just one of three people to ever be granted the freedom of the city for Southend.
